We wanted to thank the Sacramento Association of Realtors for putting on one of the most well planned conferences we’ve attended. We also wish to extend out a warm thank you to all of you who made the time to drop by our booth, listen to our chatter, and a special thank you for those who asked inquisitive questions on how BayNet’s services and strategies are able to further their web marketing presence.

SAR clearly spent a good amount of effort and energy branding their annual conference, its message this year to its attendees were, “retool. refuel. plug in.” Agents, especially at this critical crux in time, need to decide whether real estate is right for them – and in an industry prideful with tradition they are faced with a new breed of clientele. Speakers spoke on Gen-X and Gen-Y buyers, and stressed the importance of Social Media, as well as functioning web tools such as e-Agents.com and utilizing branding and market presence that listingproducerpro.com provides.

Rob and I had a great time educating and stimulating agents who shared their struggles with their online marketing efforts. Too often we come across agents who have a web presence, such as a website – but are not sure why they have one, what it’s doing, and as a result never market it. To which they wonder, “Why do I even need a website? It doesn’t do anything for me.”

The answer is of course obvious now – If one does not promote their own website and services, why would anyone else promote it for them? BayNet’s e-Agents.com product allows agents as well as brokerages obtain a fully functioning template based website with IDX and lead capture at a very low barrier to entry, however what many clients and companies do now realize is BayNet also makes customization extremely simple and affordable in contrast to many web specialization firms. If an agent feels that their website does not have enough ‘oomph’ and would like to ‘take it up a notch’ they should contact us and see what we are able to do for them, costs are usually much lower then one anticipates and the result is a website that they’re proud of, and WILL promote, market, and drive clients to.

The other hot topic at this conference, and pretty much every conference and meeting we’ve attended in the past year or so is Social Media. It’s undisputed that Social Media plays an unprecedented role in today’s market, the problem is how to tap into this. If you’ve been following our entries, you will see some of the solutions we’ve put together for our clients and if you need help with your own social campaign we do offer one to one consultations – however the key take-away is even if you build a social following of over 20,000 contacts, it doesn’t mean anything unless that 20,000 somehow translates into a paycheck. This is where a well designed and implemented lead capture portal such as e-Agents.com comes into play.

As previously stated, Rob and I enjoyed ourselves very much at the conference. It was a breath of fresh air to meet so many new faces, talk with so many different personalities, and really experience Sacramento on a whole different platform then virtually.

We wish to make a heavier concentrated effort to build relationships in Sacramento. Looking forward to heading up north on a more consistent basis, and with our client base in the valley ramping up at a steady pace this looks like good forecast of things to come.

With this, I wanted to thank SAR, and all the Realtors in Sacramento for having us again. Now that we’ve talked about everything, let’s make things happen.

Thank you,

Wallace
